完整作文:
One evening, after dinner, I sat down in the living room with my parents to discuss my future career. My father, a successful engineer, suggested I follow in his footsteps and pursue a degree in engineering. He believed it would provide a stable and lucrative career. However, I had always been passionate about literature and dreamed of becoming a writer.
At first, I was hesitant to express my true feelings, fearing I might disappoint my parents. But as the conversation continued, I gathered the courage to share my aspirations. I explained that while engineering was a respectable field, my heart lay in writing. I wanted to explore the world through stories and inspire others with my words.
My mother listened attentively and then said, "We want you to be happy and fulfilled in your career. If writing is what you truly desire, we support you." Her words were a relief, and I realized that open communication was key to understanding each other's perspectives.
That night, I felt a sense of liberation, knowing that my parents would stand by me no matter what path I chose. The conversation strengthened our bond and taught me the importance of expressing my true self.
