Doing sports together is really a good way for me to improve my Chinese. My main hobby is photography and that is how I met my Chinese girlfriend. She is interested in photography as well. She does not speak much English—so that is certainly great for my language learning. She is also an excellent cook and so I am learning how to cook Chinese food. Because of her, I now have a second hobby—cooking Chinese food. The university course is quite good. Chinese is rather hard really—there are so many characters to learn! The course is divided into four parts—language, culture, history and business. In the first year, history and culture were in English, but now they are in Chinese. It is very interesting, and I hope to join my father in his business when I complete the course.
